On Friday 30 September, the first pupil advocate meeting of the new academic year was held. Nominated children from all SECAT schools have the opportunity to come together every half term to discuss what is happening in their school and what they would like to see happen for the benefit of their school's and SECAT community. The Children and Young People Wellbeing Charter is an excellent example of the great work these young people produce as a collective.  

This was the first opportunity for the new pupil advocates to meet each other, ranging from year 2 through to year 12 pupils and students. They had time to share their experiences and discuss topics amongst themselves, such as curriculum and wellbeing.   The next meeting, which is scheduled for November now allows them time to plan its direction and content so that they have impact on the future of their schools and the children and young people in our SECAT family of schools.  

Our new pupil advocates are Jessie, Thomas and Lois Year 2; Ila, Grayson, Rayyan and Sophia Year 5;  Muhib, Blake and Amelie Year 6; James and Layla Year 8; Kyla and Calum Year 12
